I’m glad to have seen and talked to Mr. Weissner after his readings in Freibourg in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He found it nice that my name is Bukowski, too. Glad to have met this ikone of literature. But talking about Mr. Weissner it is good to follow the old Greeks: “Say something that is better than silence or be silent.” So I do, im memoriam Mr. Carl Weissner.

This news saddens me. Carl was my European agent, sold my first novel in Germany & introduced me to the likes of Michael Montfort & otheres.
Damnit, he was too young to die & yes…anything I say is going to sound trite so i’ll pass to silence.

I had the pleasure of publishing work by Carl in my magazine Bricoleur in San Francisco, late 60s. Sorry to learn of this.
Glad to see him remembered.
