Dear All Involved Who Made This Possible!
I have been teaching literature and writing skills in The New School’s MFA program for some years and this semester was tasked with discussing the Lower East Side back then. This online revelation has made the study of Yugen–and every other wonderful effort of the time so much easier. I’m writing to say thanks a million. Keeps it all alive. xoxo

these are fabulous, invaluable.
but where can i go for “historical” information on Yugen?
I saw somewhere Hettie had books about small press production, concerning these issues.
I was wondering how the name/concept came about to Amiri & Hettie? Was he in Japan in the service?

I was so happy to find this. My father was Charles Farber (real name Charles Goldberg) and one of my most enduring memories was of him lying on his bed, writing. I recently came across 2 envelopes filled with faded but barely legible copies of his poetry, prompting me to search for more. Thank you.
