					<description><![CDATA[People from Missouri are an odd lot. When I was in college in Illinois I often crossed the river to Cape Giradeau to hunt for old vacuum tube radios and I was immediately aware of the cool, unfriendly, frank nature of these &#039;show me&#039; people. When I read Burroughs I instantly channel his persona having been exposed to these mid-west oddities. I&#039;m glad he eventually found some love in life even if it was more with his cats than people. Cats are frequently superior to most people anyway.]]></description>
