And I shall. Thanks again. It's the kind of thing I' put in a frame, away from sunlight. Would that be a dumb idea? Should I just put it in my album library and pull it out every now and again? I kind of love the idea of it up there in my kitchen next to The Freewheelin' Bob and London Calling above the diner themed table & chairs.

Dave B: There was a cassette bootleg out of Manchester around that time. Full story in Oliver Harris's introduction to the CMB exhibition last year at the Function Room. There's a click route to the on-line e-catalogue. I'd say buy a printed one but all gone - nothing left but the recordings, one might say. This new "facsimile" vinyl does have a loose insert with some words by Miles one side and a lovely repro of the full-out image from which the front cover was cropped. Worth getting for this image alone.......

The Rhino Word Beat reissue in 1995 has some excellent supplemental liner notes. The bootleg Vaudeville Voices from 1993 has the entire album, cracks and pops included, but with alternate titles for several tracks. It also includes the elusive Ali's Smile recording that came with (some of) the 99 signed copies issued by Unicorn in 1971.

You oughta have yr Top 23 bound in covers. They're that good. Can't wait for yr Top 5.

Not being a collector, at least not in your sense of the obsession, I can't imagine what the top five will be. I have the LP issued by Gaîte Frogé, btw. I recall listening to it, incessantly, while living at 109 Waverly Place in the Village.

Here's a little item that might interest you:

I don't know if anyone else will see the resemblance I mention there, but the unintended similarity of the cover struck me. It was a nice surprise.

I got it on cassette in 91(?). It came in a sort of miniature box set box, if you know what I mean. I'll have to listen to it again on the old tape recorder my 10 yr old found in the basement. (He's been making mix tapes the old school way. Machine up against the speaker). I am a bit of a vinyl junkie too and keep it with my albums and specifically with the box sets ... Dylan, Marley, VU, Lou Reed, Hendrix, the Doors, the Band and many others. This made me look up the original. Too much bread for me but hey, at the end of the month, the 25th, it's getting a re-issue on vinyl. That I can do. Thanks again sir.
