Thanks for the clarification. Click on the link in the piece to read more about Brown Paper. The larger point is that the appearance in Brown Paper documents the cut-up as a communication that was done through the mail. So your contribution is just as important as Burroughs’s. A portion of Burroughs’s side of the correspondence is printed with the Brown Paper interview.

However, the page that you show wasn’t by Burroughs, but was my parody of his work. It is a great complement to the parodist to be mistaken for the original. That text has, in fact, been listed as his work in several bibliographies. Burroughs, of course, used it as a source for a cut-up of his own.
