The book has always been the Mediations in an Emergency inscribed by O’Hara to Guest. The inscription remains etched in my memory too. It is a reference to the poem “With Barbara At Larre’s. Well, I found the book on the Internet from an auction from 2008. So I am not getting soft in the head. Which leaves the price and the bookstore. $1500. $2500. I do remember being stunned by the price at the time. I remember it as being one of the first pieces of book porn that I saw. That leaves the bookstore which may actually have been Brick Row Bookshop in New Haven not Water Row. The Row is definite.
