We stayed in touch, albeit by telephone and Christmas cards – peace – and I am really glad I knew him, he was a beautiful person, and I’ll miss him.

This was the last e-mail Baird sent me

“Hi Peter,

Good to hear from you. I’m glad you have your irons in the fire, and I’m sure good will come of it. Amor, Vino y el tiempo para gozarlos.
Tu compadre,”
