Telos have produced a new edition with all the typos corrected. I can thoroughly recommend their publication without any reservations at all.

A lost meester-piece. what is distracting is the crappy production standards Telos have ... the book opens, physically, with all the enthusiasm a cat might have for a suppository and, once you finally get stuck in, is full of dick-head typographical errors, errant brackets and random apostrophes. This may seem a stupid thing to claim is a distraction when reading text and ideas that have been intervened and interfered with but obvious spelling mistakes and simplistic transcription clumsiness insult the reader, the writer and demean the text itself. However, once you can rise above these Telos people, you do get a great FLASHBACK reading experience, a worthy product of the creative writing classes that took place in the Mayfair offices, Duke Street's pokey gable and the Angus Steak House (on Haymarket, where Beauregard meets his end).

This interview is a gem -- every last word of it -- and especially Masterson's remark that Burroughs said "he felt as if he had never lived the life he was supposed to live, and that somehow he had ended up as an outsider on the edge of his own existence." It drills down to the heart and soul of the man. Much thanks.
