By popular demand, here is RealityStudio's first new subforum dedicated to the Burroughsian -- ideas and news that do not explicitly concern Burroughs but which probably would have fascinated the man were he still around to consider them.

NOTE: This is my second attempt to create this subforum. There were some problems with the first attempt, including the accidental deletion of the entire (original) Burroughsian thread and the accidental "pruning" of half a dozen others. (Long story.) Anyway, I've now restored all those threads and am doing my best to get this thing off the ground... Apologies if I've deleted anybody or screwed up anything.

This reply was originally posted by Mr. Lightfoot. It was deleted when I restored the database, so I'm reposting what he wrote. (And per his request, I have now restored the original Burroughsian thread.)

I think it would be really nice if you could restore that old original thread sometime Mr RS. I was envisaging that the idea of this new subforum may be that such articles as were collected on that original thread may form separate threads here, however the way you have done it is probably better. But please don't throw away that original 'Burroughsian' thread if you have it stored away somewhere! It crossed my mind that some of this material could form the basis of some form of an amusing chap book or some such...

If it is a hassle to restore that original thread then I implore you to at least hold onto the material and perhaps restore it or make it available in some form at a later date.

Actually if Johnny is reading this, I would be interested in hearing from him here- especially on the notion of some kind of chap book, or some other kind of presentation of this material- as he must have contributed most of the links.

It's a good idea, but it would take somebody willing to take the helm. Is it you?

Thanks for this subforum. I have spent a nice Sunday morning drinking coffee and reading.
