It's a book of color photographs of New York (principally Manhattan) by Robert Walker with a three-page intro by WSB. I just took it off the shelf and looked at it for the first time in 10 years. The photos show mostly anonymous people, street scenes, shop windows. I can't say I like the images much, though one of the World Trade Center made me pause -- only because it was ghostly in light of 9/11. WSB's intro is sort of standard fare about color walks, the city as cut-up, etc. Shoaf's record of the book is here:

I couldn't find any of the book's images online. There are some examples of Walker's more recent work here:

I like these better than the images in the book. They're denser with information and more saturated with color.

I have no idea how Burroughs knew Robert Walker. He's not in the index of Literary Outlaw, and I can't recall people talking about him. Anyone else know?
