Appreciate the link but I never got into British (or in this case Australian/British hybrid) humor or the standup scene. I've seen a few specials, like Ricky Garvis and that other guy you posted and I never laughed. I respect them though (in another life I'm a Standup comic in ode to Bill Hicks), I suppose it's a cultural difference.

I'm sure it was not intentional on Only Me's part, but I contracted a very, very nasty virus that almost certainly came into my computer with the media player that this comedy sketch suggested I download to be played upon.

I now know you have to look out for downloading media players, but basically I'm currently in a situation where I may have to wipe my computer clean to get rid of it. Hopefully my various personal documents are salvagable.

Sorry to hear that, Mr Lightfoot. It's a good reminder to everyone to back up their data on a regular basis. You never know when catastrophe will occur.

No Probs Only Me; I seem to have recovered everything okay. It was very strange, my whole system melted down and became unusable for a few days, with all sorts of scary pop-ups and a computer whizz friend had a look and said just about the whole system was being eaten away... but now my free AVG virus checker seems to have refound it's feet and sorted everything out... or something. I just had the computer in safe mode a few days while I got all my half finished stories and scans of artwork and things onto USB sticks in preparation for wiping the whole damn thing and starting over. It was quite a wake-up call and I now finally have a proper backing up system going on.
