Hi,

Just a quick word to say I was in London yesterday attending Oliver Harris' lecture. It was reallt interesting, as he made a parallel between Burroughs the painter and the hallucinations he had in 1953 when taking Yage. He also read from unpublished manuscripts. The whole evening was really good, and the exhibition, though really small, is full of treasures, There's even the book by Laura Lee Burroughs, Arranging Flowers.

Thanks for the report, Theo. When I've corresponded with him, Oliver has struck me as a very bright, thoughtful, and also very nice person. It would have been interesting to see him talk.

BTW you can find those Laura Lee Burroughs books on ebay sometimes. However, in spite of how much Burroughs material I've picked up over the years, I've never bid on one of his mother's books. The connection just seems too distant to bother... Now that I say that, it occurs to me that I can't remember Burroughs ever writing about flowers. His interest in plants was in their psychotropic and not in their aesthetic properties.
