Hello

I attended the first part of the exhibition in London and was curious about a documentary that was playing there. I asking the guy working what is was and I believe he told me it was produced by the BBC and also suggested I may be able to find out where I can get a copy if I contacted you guys on this discussion board. Can anyone give any information about it?
Thank You
John

They're using it at the exhibition? Cool.
I sent them that. It's a BBC TV "Arena" (arts series), documentary. I transferred it to dvd some time ago from the old vhs I had, quality is pretty good.
I must try to get to it before its over....I also need to get to the Austin Osman Spare exhibition, which is only on for 11 days....I live far away, and its very expensive to get there......maybe its time I moved....

Isn't the "Arena" documentary the same as "Giorno Video Pak 2 - Burroughs The Movie"?

No idea, never seen that. Does it have scenes involving WSB and his brother Mort telling him why he didn't like NL? Or WSB and painter Francis Bacon?

The one I'm referring to opens with a clip of WSB reading on Saturday Night Live, includes Mort complaining about the language in Naked Lunch, contains a few clips of live readings and has Patti Smith saying "I like him because hes a hard guy to get into bed".

You don't have the Nike commercial, do you? I'm trying to find a copy to put up here at RealityStudio. It's weird -- nobody seems to have the thing.

That's the next step. I also have contact info for the ad agency that produced it. I just wanted to avoid going that route until I was desperate enough to risk getting embroiled in copyright issues. I guess I'm just shocked that nobody has it. I thought it would be all over the place.

This is a long shot, but are there Nike collectors? Like people that actually tape Nike commercials and cut their ads out and stuff. If they had a fotum then we could ask them.

As far as I can remember, I've never seen this ad. I suspect it's never been shown in the UK.

Its wasn't shown that much in the states, cause Nike (liek all companies) changes their ads around a lot. The Ministry video I remember seeing a lot, usually late a night. And the U2 video several times.
