why and or how come the movie version of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep came to adopt Blade Runner from the Burroughs work ?

I don't think it has anything to do between the film version of PKD's novel and the screenplay adapted by Burroughs from a Alan Nourse's novel, other than the main title.

Although maybe I heard from somewhere, that the Tyrell's corporation building in the film is a monolithic pyramid was based on Burroughs' fascination of the Mayan culture and that the plot of gods toying with life of other people (mostly replicants) could somehow be in interest of Burroughs.

...or that is what I'm assume.

ok--thanks--i guess im just wondering how that boardroom or whatever conversation went where they said "'do androids dream of electric sheep' is not a title that will put bums on seats lets change it to....."
