One Response to “Books and Broadside Prints By William S. Burroughs”
What is the relation between “Everything Lost” and “Yage Letters Redux,” exactly? I understand that the former is a transcription of Burroughs manuscript/journal, but is this not the same base of material for “The yage Letters”? Also, I am interested in the status of any other postumous releases of Burroughs’ work. For example, I’ve been able to get some scattershot information about a text entitled “Evil River,” which I infer is some sort of biography. I have also read (I forget where at the moment–I think in Harris’ article on his work with “Everything Lost”) that the second volume of Burroughs’ correspondence is hanging fire because of some sort of litigation or problem with the Burroughs estate. Where might I find out, clearly and definitively, anything about these matters? I suspect Mr. Shoaf, in the construction of this bibliography, may be informed about the status of yet unpublished postumous material.
